Justin Lee Collins has said that Alex Reid's "honesty" would make the cage fighter an ideal guest for his Good Times chatshow.

Speaking in an interview with New magazine, the star explained that he was impressed by Reid's conduct when he watched him on Celebrity Big Brother in January.

Asked whether he would like to interview the cross-dresser, Collins replied: "Absolutely. I think the reason he did well on Celebrity Big Brother is because there seems to be an honesty there.

"I want guests who are going to be honest, not ones who deliberately want to upset people, or be outrageous just for the sake of it. The show is called Good Times, after all."

The 35-year-old also confirmed that tabloids were correct when they said that he had banned Reid's wife Katie Price from appearing on the programme.

He said: "Yes, there is some truth in that. I was asked if I'd have her on and I was like, 'I'm just a bit Jordan-ed out'. As I think we generally all seem to be."
