The former Sky News presenter will host the show from the studio while Rav Wilding fronts it live on the street.
The daytime show, which highlights crimes in local areas, will visit Lancashire, Humberside, Kent and the West Midlands when it returns in June.
Last year, the series featured crimes including the theft of explosives from a paintballing venue, a fatal hit and run incident and a burglary. A number of arrests were made following calls to the studio and 17 criminals were prosecuted.
Buckley said: "I'm delighted to be joining the Crimewatch Roadshow team. Sadly, many of us are affected by crime at some point in our lives so it's a real privilege to present a programme that does so much to help bring those responsible to justice."
Crimewatch Roadshow is currently scheduled to return on June 7.
