According to PA, the So You Think You Can Dance host has already filmed a pilot for Cat Deeley's Treasure Hunt.
"It's an idea that I actually came up with [with] Dave Stewart on an aeroplane," she said. "We were both flying back from New York. We ended up talking and came up with this idea together and the moment that we actually conceived the idea is actually on videotape because he tapes everything. Not a glass of wine passed our lips, I'll have you know!"
Deeley added that she wants the format to be sold around the world.
"We came up with this idea and then we went to Cannes and we've shot a pilot - Nokia have actually funded the pilot," she said. "What we're hoping to do is sell it around the world first, and then maybe do the UK, America and Australia."
She also joked that she won't copy the outfit worn by Anneka Rice, who hosted Treasure Hunt in the 1980s.
"I don't think so, but if a jumpsuit was absolutely called for, I am a fan," she said.
Deeley recently denied reports that she has been offered a job on The X Factor.
