Messenger: 'I haven't spoken to Wright'

Melinda Messenger has admitted that she has not spoken to Ian Wright since they fell out over Live From Studio Five.

Earlier this year, Wright branded Messenger "annoying" and hinted that he would not miss her after she quit the Five magazine show.

Messenger hit back at her former co-host a day later, claiming that she had left the programme because working with Wright became "intolerable".

Reflecting on the row in a new interview with The Sun, Messenger revealed: "I've not seen him since then - I think he might run the other way if he saw me!

"I'm sure it was probably heat of the moment stuff on his part and didn't come out the way he'd intended it. I'm sure he just didn't want me to leave - that's what I tell myself anyway. I haven't spoken to him since."

Meanwhile, the former Page 3 girl also praised the decision to recruit Jayne Middlemiss as a replacement for departing Studio Five host Emma Willis, predicting that she will be "brilliant" on the show.
