Cotton to continue as TOTP presenter

Fearne Cotton is to continue presenting Top of the Pops when it moves to BBC Two next month, according to The Mirror today.

However, co-host Reggie Yates will not be joining the new-look show, despite signing a two-year deal with the BBC. Instead, the presenter will front his own Saturday morning children's series in the autumn.

"Fearne will be the regular presenter on TOTP, which will be on-screen year round," a spokeswoman told the newspaper. "Reggie is a rising star and has several new projects in the pipeline."

Cotton will be joined by a different male co-host each week, however no names have yet been revealed.

"We're talking to all sorts of people," the spokeswoman added.

The first episode of the new-look Top of the Pops will air on BBC Two on July 17.
