Amanda Abbington, who played Babs in the romantic dramedy, revealed the news on the show's Facebook fan site. However, ITV has not yet confirmed the news.
She posted: "Just to let all the Married, Single, Other fans know there will not be another series. ITV has refused to commission another one."
After appealing to a strong 6.2 million viewers on its debut at the start of the year, the programme's audience plummeted to just shy of 4m for the second episode, which it remained at for the duration of the series.
