Further series of The Royle Family are unlikely, one of the stars of the comedy has revealed.
Ricky Tomlinson, aka Jim, told The Stage newspaper: "Caroline is finding it increasingly difficult to get us all together, so she's writing specials rather than series."
The BBC has so far not commissioned a fourth series of the programme.
