Piers Morgan will front a new ITV1 documentary about the role of football in South Africa.

The Britain's Got Talent judge has visited the hosts of this year's World Cup to examine how the once divided nation has found a way to unite.

On the trip, Morgan visits the Soccer City stadium in Soweto, the largest township in the African continent, and he interviews former South African rugby captain Francois Pienaar. He also meets Dan Moyo, who spent eight years in jail alongside Nelson Mandela in the 1980s.

Piers Morgan's World Cup South Africa airs on Sunday, June 6 at 10pm on ITV1.
