James Fleet has revealed that he would star again in The Vicar Of Dibley if given the chance.

The 46-year-old actor, who played the naive Hugo Horton in the BBC sitcom, admitted that he wouldn't be able to resist an offer from writer Richard Curtis.

However, the star - who is playing a pivotal guest role in Coronation Street's upcoming Siege Week - admitted that the prospect of a return for the comedy is slim.

He told DS: "If we were asked we'd have to do it, yes. It was one of the great jobs. I loved sitting at the end of the council table with Dawn [French]. I laughed until I was sick, I have to say.

"But I don't think they will ever make one again. Although I was told they hadn't destroyed the set. Never say never, but I don't see it happening.

"We'd have to do it, we couldn't turn it down if the great Richard decided to make another one. You don't turn down Richard."
