Penny Smith has said goodbye to her colleagues on GMTV.

The presenter left the show this morning after 17 years. The move is part of GMTV's ongoing revamp.

According to BBC News, Smith was presented with a video of her best bits during her final episode. She was also serenaded by soul singer Curtis Stigers, who was her partner on the BBC's competition Just The Two Of Us in 2006.

During Stigers's performance, Smith began to cry and joked: "I was doing so well. I've got extra eyelashes on and everything!"

She added: "Thank you to everybody who's said really nice things to me today. Thank you for supporting us. It's been great! My dressing room's awash with flowers."

Ben Shephard has also confirmed his departure from GMTV, while recent reports suggested that all of the current presenters could be axed.
