'Love Island' to compete with BB again?
Published Saturday, Jul 9 2005, 11:00 BST | By Daniel Kilkelly

As reported by DS on Thursday, the broadcaster is currently considering whether to commission a second series of the show, with sources suggesting that the programme will return with some changes.
"I imagine it will return sometime next year - maybe to coincide with Big Brother again, as there's no doubt it gave Channel 4 a real scare last time," an insider told the Daily Star.
Producers apparently feel that the success of Jayne Middlemiss and Fran Cosgrave, the show's winning couple, was one of the major flaws.
The insider added, "For instance, one of the flaws was that a couple managed to win despite not finding love with each other - or anyone else."
Middlemiss and Cosgrave both shared £100,000 after winning the show.
