A new drama being dubbed "the British version of Desperate Housewives" has been commissioned by Five.
Suburban Shootout follows two wealthy housewives, Camilla and Barbara, "fighting a turf war over Little Stempington", a fictional town in the Home Counties.
The show is the first project from the joint-venture comedy initiative from Five and Paramount.
Speaking to Broadcast magazine, commissioning editor Graham Smith described Suburban Shootout as "a collision between Desperate Housewives and Kill Bill", adding: "There are some very black moments and homages to Quentin Tarantino and John Woo."
The 8 x 30-minute series premieres on Five in January.
