Paramount picks up four US comedies

Paramount has acquired the UK rights to four new US comedies, the network announced today.

Headlining the list is Stacked from Fox, starring Pamela Anderson as a bookstore worker.

Also included are Kitchen Confidential (Fox), Chris Rock's Everybody Hates Chris (UPN) and Everything I Know About Men (CBS).

"The quality of comedy from the [LA] screenings this year was extremely high and I had a most entertaining shopping spree," said Heather Jones, Paramount Comedy's MD.

"Each of these four shows complements our existing schedule and will support our position as the only UK channel dedicated to comedy."

All four series will premiere on the channel early next year.
