Speaking to DS, Hart said that she had met the Glee star at the Monte Carlo Television Festival.
"I've now become friends with Jane Lynch - in my head," she joked. "No, I had a lovely chat with her last night. I met her last night and she's lovely. And I would love to work with her. That's my next focus."
Hart explained that she had suggested a collaboration to Lynch, saying: "Because she's a nice, kind woman, she went, 'How lovely'. But who knows what was really going on behind those eyes."
Hart also revealed that she has considered having celebrity guest stars on her sitcom Miranda.
"I find celebrity cameos hard," she said. "I'd like to have Christopher Biggins in the Christmas special, but playing a character. But it's quite hard because it's Christopher Biggins, so you don't know how much people are going to believe that. He's a good actor, Christopher Biggins."
She added: "There's one episode in which I do want to aim for a very famous name. And I'm going to ask. But I'm not going to say who it is... We're talking British, but he's in movies now."
