Former Coronation Street star Suranne Jones is to appear in a comedy pilot for ITV1.
The actress, best known for her role of Karen McDonald, will star in Singled Out alongside My Family's Kris Marshall.
Meanwhile, ITV have also decided to order a second series of Suranne's crime thriller Vincent, before the first has aired, according to The Mirror today.
