The Associated Press reports that ABC chief Stephen McPherson said yesterday that Garner's character Sydney Bristow will be pregnant in the show's fifth season, screened from September.
However, the fact that she is expecting will be used sensibly rather in sensationalised way. "We also don't want to put her in situations where she's endangering herself and the baby," explained McPherson.
Garner married her Daredevil co-star Ben Affleck in June and the baby is due around Christmas.
