Bravo is to air matches from the Italian Serie A league under a two-year deal with Setanta Sports.
The channel will air the premium 'superclassico' games live, as well as a recorded match midweek, a one hour highlights show and a weekly magazine show. Setanta will show the remaining Serie A games on Setanta Sports 1, 2 and Setanta Ireland.
"Football Italia and Serie A are established and respected sporting brands in the UK thanks to the work of Chrysalis and Channel 4 in the 1990’s," said David Clarke, Bravo Channel Editor. "We believe it has been dormant too long and intend to reinvigorate Italian Football in the UK and showcase all the passion, skill, style and footballing culture that it brings."
The deal, which gives Bravo six hours of original programming each week, represents Flextech's biggest sports rights acquisition in its history.
