
According to Chortle, the comedian will not use his 'Pub Landlord' persona for the programme.
The show, which is currently titled It's The End Of The Week As We Know It, is expected to include topical comedy.
It is said to be "apocalyptic but upbeat" and will examine areas such as celebrity gossip, entertainment, sport and politics, "as long as it isn't really boring".
Comedian Karen Taylor and TalkSport presenter Paul Hawksbee are also thought to be involved in the project.
