'Idol' auditions interrupted by relief efforts

American Idol auditions in Memphis, Tennessee have been cancelled due to Hurricane Katrina relief efforts in that state.
A spokesperson for Fox TV, which airs Idol said that auditions scheduled for Monday will not be rescheduled so that Memphis "can focus public safety efforts on the victims."
10,000 people have been evacuated from Katrina-impacted areas to the Memphis region, the AP reported on Friday.
