Andi Peters quits 'TOTP'
Published Monday, Sep 5 2005, 16:58 BST | By Daniel Saney

The news comes after the long-running chart show switched from BBC One to Two, where its ratings have dipped to just 1.1 million viewers.
Peters took over the show two years ago in the hope of revitalising it with a new look and new presenters. However, its ratings hovered around three million viewers per week, less than half of its audience in the mid-90s.
The spokeswoman stated: "The show is performing solidly each week in its BBC Two slot so this isn't the end of the show or time for another re-launch.
"It really is just the case that Andi fancies returning to screen having spent most of his recent years behind the scenes."
Andi will now move on to present BBC One's City Hospital. He explained: "After seven years of making telly, it's great to get to return to the box and even more exciting to be joining a live show, City Hospital."
