Marc Cherry, the creator of Desperate Housewives is determined to keep random celebrities off Wisteria Lane.
Although other shows such as Friends are known for bringing in guest stars to boost ratings, he wants the second season of his hit show to keep the same format.
One of the show's stars, Eva Longoria, has voiced her approval of Cherry's stance. IMDb quote her as saying: "If we had Britney Spears playing a neighbour, the viewers would be like, 'That's Britney Spears playing a neighbour!' Marc really chooses the best actor for the job."
