26-year-old Aaron Walpole of St. Thomas, Ontario was eliminated Wednesday night, despite being hailed as "the best singer left in the competition" by one of the judges.
Walpole had polled the lowest votes from viewers after performances of 'Break My Heart' and 'Enid' in a Barenaked Ladies-themed show.
The elimination leaves Rex Goudie, 19, and Melissa O'Neil, 17, to battle it out in next week's grand finale.
