The Ricky Gervais comedy has gone to the ABC in Australia, Prime in New Zealand, YES/DBS in Israel, DR in Denmark, SVT in Sweden, TV2 in Norway, RUV in Iceland, NOS in Holland and VRT in Belgium.
"We make television for a British audience and it's still amazing to me that most countries in the world have my fat face beamed into homes once a week," said Gervais, who is currently working on the second series.
Meanwhile, the BBC has also sold drama Waking the Dead to Nine in Australia.
