Second season for 'So You Think You Can Dance'
FOX has given the go-ahead to a second season of reality dance competition So You Think You Can Dance.

The show, which regularly ranked first in its time period amongst Adults 18-49, is slated to return next summer.

"From the beginning, we loved the concept and felt this would be a tremendous asset to our schedule," said Mike Darnell, evp of alternative programming and specials. "We were amazed at the talent we discovered and we're delighted the series will be returning for another season on FOX."

Exec producer Nigel Lythgoe added: "We are excited that So You Think You Can Dance will be returning for its second season. This show is unique and unlike anything else on television. We are very proud of the show and are thrilled that it performed so well throughout the season."
