Natasha Kaplinsky, currently the face of BBC One’s breakfast show, is to move to the evening shift.

The former Sky News host is filling in for 6pm anchor Sophie Raworth, who will soon be away on maternity leave.

"Natasha brings considerable broadcast and journalistic experience to the team," said Six O'Clock News editor Amanda Farnsworth.

The early shift will be taken by Sian Williams and Mishal Husain.
