Kids love ‘Little Britain’

Research for the Radio Times has shown that the 15-rated comedy Little Britain is a favourite with young children.
Figures for the TV magazine show that 280,000 10 to 15-year-olds watched the last series, including 86,000 aged between 4 and 9.
The show is shown after the watershed and is aimed at adults, while The British Board of Film Classification has given the Little Britain DVD a 15 rating.
David Walliams - who writes and stars in the show – said: “Little Britain is not designed for children, it’s not meant for them, but it’s great that they love it.???
“There’s always that element in kids where they want to watch the naughty comedy that’s not for them,??? he added.
Co-star Matt Lucas conceded that the programme has an effect on kids: “Watching Little Britain was affecting how the kids behaved in school,??? he said. “They were doing the catchphrases and coming out with rude jokes.???
Radio Times's list of children’s favourite comedies placed Little Britain second, with The Simpsons in first place.
