Lawson to present new BBC4 show

Mark Lawson, host of BBC Two's Newsnight Review, has decided to step down and instead present "regular, lengthy interviews with big cultural figures" over on digital channel BBC4.
Lawson says each programme in the series will be themed around the subject's work. BBC4 controller Janice Hadlow said the channel was "delighted" that Lawson was joining on a more regular basis.
BBC2 controller Roly Keating echoed Hadlow's sentiments. He said that they were "hugely grateful" to Lawson for his commitment to arts discussion over the years, and that they "wish him the best of luck in his new role."
Newsnight Review will not cease to exist, however. Kirsty Wark will continue to be the main presenter, and will be joined by political editor Martha Kearney and other regular guest hosts.
