ITV has greenlit a new big budget, Doctor Who-style sci-fi series.
Primaeval will follow genius scientist Professor Cutter as he travels back in time to find out what happened to his wife, who disappeared down a black hole.
The £6 million, six-episode series has been earmarked for a Saturday or Sunday evening slot.
