Alexa Chung named new host of MTV 'Gonzo'

Alexa Chung has been named the new host of MTV's alternative music show Gonzo.

The TV presenter replaces Zane Lowe when the programme returns to screens this autumn on MTV Rocks, which was previously known as MTV2.

Chung said: "I am thrilled to be presenting Gonzo. It's a show I've always admired and I'm looking forward to reupholstering the sofa."

The first episode of the new series will air on October 15 at 7pm.
