Anjali Rao
Rao will co-anchor World News Asia with Andrew Stevens on the network. She is the network's third new recruit from the UK in as many months; in October, Isha Sesay joined the network from ITN and in November, Adrian Finnegan moved from the BBC.
"It’s great to be starting 2006 with such strong new additions to our anchoring team," said CNN International senior vice president Rena Golden. "Anjali will be an asset to CNN, with her experience of reporting on the most significant global news stories of the past ten years. We’re delighted to add someone of Anjali's award winning experience to our Hong Kong based team."
"I’m looking forward to joining an international news network and returning to Hong Kong," said Rao. "CNN delivers a first class service and I can’t wait to be a part of the award-winning team."
World News Asia airs in the UK daily at 1pm.
