Corrie's Richard Fleeshman has won the final of Soapstar Superstar, raising £100,000 for charity.
The actor, who plays the soap's Craig Harris, was stunned at his success and commented: "It's amazing. It's all been worthwhile, it's just amazing."
Host Cilla Black had been supporting her long-time favourite Fleeshman against Andy Whyment, who plays Kirk Sutherland, also in Coronation Street.
The money is going to the Kirsty Appeal, whose campaign to supports a children's hospice is led by poorly Kirsty Howard, who has previously met celebrities including the Beckhams.
