The show's final episode, featuring Pilkington returning home after seeing the Seven Wonders of the World, averaged a respectable 1.08m (4.6%) on Sky1 in 9pm hour.
In BBC One's comedy hour, Have I Got News For You and Reggie Perrin amused 5.51m (23.1%) and 3.47m (15.4%) respectively from 9pm.
Earlier, The One Show was watched by 4.84m (22.1%) on BBC One from 7pm, before Watchdog grabbed 5.03m (20.5%) in the 8pm hour.
Over at ITV1, Tonight: The Cost of Caring fetched 3.04m (13.1%) between 7.30pm and 8pm. New celebrity reality series Monte Carlo or Bust continued to 2.6m (11.2%) in the 9pm hour and 110k (0.5%) on ITV1 HD.
Channel 4's Celebrity Coach Trip pulled in 2.09m (12.8%) from 5.30pm and 283k (1.3%) on timeshift. Later, River Cottage Every Day brought in 1.7m (6.9%) from 8pm and 375k (1.6%) on Channel 4 +1.
Extended documentary Britain's Trillion Pound Horror Story mustered 1.2m (5.5%) between 9pm and 10.30pm, while 121k (0.8%) watched on timeshift. It was followed by vampire drama True Blood, which had 480k (3.7%) and 130k (2%) an hour later.
The Culture Show grabbed 790k (3.5%) on BBC Two in the 7pm hour, before Nigella Kitchen cooked up 1.93m (8%). Autumnwatch 2010 appealed to 2.05m (8.4%) between 8.30pm and 9pm, before spinoff show Autumnwatch Unsprung took 2.04m (9%). Never Mind The Buzzcocks then had 1.56m (7.7%) from 10pm, down 430k week-on-week.
Channel Five's Jaguar Adventures with Nigel Marven grabbed 551k (2.4%) from 7.30pm, before Battle of Arnhem: Tour of Duty appealed to 376k (1.5%) in the 8pm hour. A screening of Heartbreak Ridge took 1.14m (6.2%) from 9pm.
BBC One won primetime with 23% over ITV1's 19.5% (HD: 0.7%). BBC Two came in third with 6.7%, followed by Channel 4 with 5.2% (+1: 0.9%) and Channel Five with 3.5%.
Elsewhere, Misfits returned to digital channel E4 with 950k (5.4%) in the 10pm hour and 163k (1.7%) an hour later.
Celebrity Juice amused 715k (3.7%) on ITV2 from 10pm and 194k (1.8%) on timeshift.
On BBC Three, the new series of Russell Howard's Good News continued to 745k (4.6%) between 10.30pm and 11pm.
