Steptoes to return for stage show
Published Friday, Feb 17 2006, 23:51 GMT | By Dave West
A stage show based on the BBC's Steptoe and Son sitcom is opening in London's West End.
The series' creator Ray Galton has written Steptoe and Son In Murder At Oil Drum Lane.
It is set years after the series ended, when son Harold has accidentally killed Albert. He is then haunted by his dead father's ghost.
A successful run in York saw the show sell-out completely. After a nine-week stint at the Comedy Theatre – starting today – it will tour nationally.
