Claims that a commercial featuring a lesbian kiss was broadcast before 9pm are being investigated.
The French Connection television advert attracted 127 complaints to the Advertising Standards Agency.
It shows two women kung fu fighting and then embracing – scenes some viewers described as "offensive" and "unsuitable".
The ASA said it will look at claims that commercial played before the watershed, but that the fight scene is unlikely to be criticised.
"We believe that in terms of the 9pm restriction," said a spokesman, "it is suitable to appear at that time or after."
