Peep Show writers Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong have said that they have no plans to end the show.
The Channel 4 sitcom, which has run for seven series, is expected to have an eighth run in 2012, when the writing duo have finished work on new student comedy Fresh Meat.
Speaking backstage at the British Comedy Awards, the duo told DS: "We do love writing it. It's one of those things as writers. Hopefully we will do other shows that are as good, but it feels like we write really well for their voices.
"It would be a bit crazy, before the channel say that they don't want it, for us to stop doing it."
