E4 has announced the beginning of filming on new drama series Beaver Falls.

The six-part series will focus on a trio of friends who leave university and land jobs at elite American summer camp Beaver Falls.

Samuel Robertson, who previously played Adam Barlow on Coronation Street, will play university graduate Flynn, while Four Lions star Arsher Ali and Lark Rise to Candleford actor John Dagleish will play his friends A-Rab and Barry.

Written by newcomer Iain Hollands, the series will be helmed by Skins directors Jack Clough and Daniel O'Hara.

"Channel 4's increased investment in new drama will arrive on screen in Summer 2011 with two brand new series, Naked Apes and Beaver Falls," said Channel 4's head of drama Camilla Campbell. "Irreverent and provocative comedy dramas, both are set to launch a host of new and emerging talent and characters. We hope viewers will love them as much as we do."

Beaver Falls is currently filming on location in South Africa and will air on E4 this summer.
