Gervais to receive Rose D'Or Award

Gervais in 'Extras'
The Office creator's honorary award will recognise his exceptional contribution to the global entertainment business.
Festival head Georges Luks described 44-year-old Gervais as "a comedy phenomenon". He continued: "Ricky Gervais is hugely talented, spectacularly successful and seriously funny. We look forward to seeing him on stage in Lucerne."
Gervais's Extras is also nominated for an award in the sitcom category, while other British shows in with a chance are The Catherine Tate Show, The Thick of It and The IT Crowd.
The winners will be revealed at a gala ceremony on April 29.
