Louis Theroux has decided to make ten new documentaries for BBC Two.
The 35-year-old film-maker explained: "As a student of bizarre organisations and eccentric people, the BBC feels like my natural home."
BBC Two controller Roly Keating added: "Louis is one of the most influential and unique voices in modern TV. His acute eye and wicked sense of humour have been away for too long."
The new documentaries will air between 2006 and 2009.
