The Fox Reality Channel has picked up the rights to a raft of UK reality series.

The US station already enjoys huge ratings with Sky One import The Villa and also has the British versions of Strip Search and Joe Millionaire in its schedules.

The new deals, signed at MipTV this week, cover the rights to five seasons of the BBC's Driving School and sixteen episodes of Castaway 2000. Also covered are three series of BBC Two's Dragon's Den and controversial dating show There's Something About Miriam.

Fox Reality head David Lyle told Broadcast: "We like to be innovative and introduce some classics, and some of the most irreverent and entertaining reality shows from outside the US to domestic audiences for whom these shows are new experiences."
