'Dance Fever' judge defends harsh comments

Strictly Dance Fever judge Stacey Haynes has defended her outspoken nature.

In last week's episode of the show, Haynes was seen clashing with fellow judges Wayne Sleep and Arlene Phillips, as well as causing one contestant to burst into tears.

"I think I'm honest and fair," Stacey told The Mirror. "But I'm impulsive and say what comes into my head. I shocked myself watching last week's show when I saw myself asking a girl, 'Why are you crying?' I came across as quite hard but I was doing it for a reason.

"I'm quite tough to work for. When I was a director in the West End, I could bawl somebody out and yell, 'Get off my f***ing stage!' I lose my temper once during rehearsals to let people know what it's like. It's not pretty."

Haynes has also warned fans that they can expect further X Factor-style clashes between the judges.

"We all irritate each other," she revealed. "I'm sure we'll come to blows by the end of the series."
