The supermarket-set sitcom, helmed by Shameless director Paul Walker, will focus on the staff of the fictional 'Valco' budget store in the North West.
Jane Horrocks will lead the cast, appearing alongside Game of Thrones star Mark Addy, Being Human's Jason Watkins and This Is England actress Chanel Cresswell.
Sky's head of comedy Lucy Lumsden said: "Trollied is the first of a number of brand new British comedies for Sky and we're extremely excited by the talent around the show, on and off screen."
Executive producer Ash Atalla, managing director at Roughcut TV, added: "Trollied is a big-scale commission with big ambition and big stars. It cements Roughcut TV as one of the fastest-growing independents in the world of scripted comedy and entertainment and we're delighted to be working with Sky 1 HD.'
Other recent comedy commissions from Sky1 include the Ruth Jones project Stella, eight-part series Mount Pleasant and eccentric sitcom This Is Jinsy.
Production on Trollied commenced last week in Bristol. Filming will continue throughout April and May and the series will air on Sky1 HD in July.
