Radcliffe joins Gervais on 'Extras'

Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe will be appearing on the second series of Extras, the BBC has confirmed.

The creation of The Office's Ricky Gervais, the sit-com features a different celebrity each show playing a distorted version of themselves. Samuel L. Jackson, Patrick Stewart and Kate Winslet were amongst those to take part in the first series.

No plotline has yet been revealed for Radcliffe's episode, which will also feature actress Diana Rigg, according to Empire Online.

Radcliffe reportedly said of the project: "I'm so excited that the night after I got the call I didn't sleep a wink. I know nothing about what I'm going to do but it's a great opportunity to do something different."
