Latest 'Apprentice' results

Syed Ahmed is the tenth star to be thrown off The Apprentice, after five boardroom appearances.

Sir Alan Sugar had some praise for the competitor – who thought he had won the task to hold a cruise event – but was fed up with his fickle methods.

"I like your determination," commented the judge. "What I can't get over is what I call 'grasshopper brain mentality' just jumping and flipping from one thing to another.

"Someone described you Syed as a magpie," he continued. "You swoop down to solve a problem then you're off again."

Sales manager Ruth supported Sugar. She told Ahmed: "Your attention to detail and organisation is appalling."

Following some brief deliberation, Sugar concluded: "Syed, despite some flashes of genius you're too much of a risk for me. You're fired. Off you go."
