Catherine Tate to star in new comedy drama

Catherine Tate is to appear in a new one-off comedy drama based on a Kate Long novel.
The Bad Mother’s Handbook, airing on ITV, tells the story of a year in the lives of three generations of women - 17-year old Charlotte, her mum Karen, and her Nan - none of whom "can quite believe how things have turned out".
Signing Tate - one of the BBC's biggest stars - is a major coup for ITV and comes just days after the broadcaster signed up Dragon's Den star Peter Jones on an exclusive contract.
“Catherine is one of Britain’s hottest comedy and acting talents," said Paul Jackson, ITV's director of entertainment and comedy. "We are thrilled to be bringing her to ITV1 as a leading lady.”
