'Injustice' beats 'Case Histories' in Monday ratings

Anthony Horowitz's new drama Injustice proved too strong for Case Histories on Monday evening, according to the latest audience data.

Injustice, starring James Purefoy, Dervla Kerwin and Nathaniel Parker, averaged 5.32m (20.5%) for ITV1 from 9pm and 267k (1.5%) on +1.

The programme outperformed Case Histories in the 9pm hour, after the Jason Isaacs-starring crime drama mustered 4.46m (18%) on BBC One, down 960k on the previous night's debut episode.

Earlier, Saints and Scroungers fetched 3.31m (16.1%) from 7.30pm, while The Dales entertained 3.48m (15.7%) on ITV1 from 8pm and 101k (0.4%) on timeshift. Panorama grabbed 2.86m (12.2%) on BBC One from 8.30pm and A Question of Sport amused 2.69m (18%) from 10.45pm.

Over at BBC Two, The Story of Ireland enchanted 860k (4.3%) in the 7pm hour. Springwatch captivated 2.38m (10.4%) from 8pm and 110k (0.5%) on BBC HD. All Watched Over by Machines of Love and Grace educated 800k (3.3%) in the 9pm hour and Psychoville 2 concluded with 630k (3.2%) from 10pm.

Channel 4's Dispatches pulled in 810k (3.6%) in the 8pm hour and 152k (0.6%) on +1. Embarrassing Fat Bodies enthralled 2.95m (11.9%) from 9pm and 504k (2.8%) an hour later. A screening of 27 Dresses enchanted 1.05m (8%) from 10pm and 112k (0.7) on timeshift.

Highlights of England's Test clash with Sri Lanka were seen by 629k (3.2%) from 7pm, before The Gadget Show switched on 573k (2.5%) from 8pm. The Hotel Inspector booked in 1.4m (5.7%) in the 9pm hour and new series The Restaurant Inspector debuted with 1.09m (6%) from 10pm. A showing of Gothika mustered 345k (4.6%) from 10pm.

Overall, ITV1 won primetime with 25.1% (+1: 0.6%) against BBC One's 20.5%. Channel 4 came in third with 6.5% (+1: 0.8%), followed by BBC Two with 5.4% and Channel 5 with 4.3%.

Elsewhere, the penultimate episode of season two of Glee was watched by 1.1m (4.5%) on E4 in the 9pm hour and 204k (1.1%) on E4+1. The show was followed by reality TV series Made In Chelsea, which dazzled 468k (2.6%) in the 10pm hour.

World's Craziest Fools, presented by former A-Team star Mr. T, premiered with 756k (4.7%) on BBC Three from 10.30pm. Fantasy drama Game Of Thrones had 523k (2.2%) on Sky Atlantic from 9pm.
