West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin's new series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip has been picked up for next season.
NBC has ordered thirteen episodes of the drama, which focuses on the behind-the-scenes politics at a late night comedy sketch show.
"Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme's work is TV at its best and Studio 60 lives up to that standard," said Kevin Reilly, president of NBC Entertainment. "I'm thrilled they are back on NBC for the Fall."
Among those on the cast are Matthew Perry (Friends), Amanda Peet (Syriana), Bradley Whitford (The West Wing), Evan Handler (The West Wing) and Carlos Jacott (Being John Malkovich).
The West Wing is coming to a close this season after seven years.
