Russell T Davies wished that he could have included a gay kiss in this year's series of Doctor Who, one of the show's stars has revealed.
Former Byker Grove actor and CBBC presenter Andrew Hayden-Smith appears in next week's episode as a preacher fighting against an evil industry.
"There's a line at the end that suggests my character is gay but it's not made clear," Smith told Wales on Sunday. "I think Russell was after a gay kiss but they couldn't push it that far! I was just pleased to work with Russell because I think he is great."
