JK Rowling for 'Who Do You Think You Are?' new series

Harry Potter writer JK Rowling is among the stars taking part in the new series of BBC genealogy show Who Do You Think You Are?.

Alan Carr, Richard Madeley and EastEnders actress June Brown are also lined up to delve into their family histories.

Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman, artist Tracey Emin and Bee Gee Robin Gibb will join them in uncovering secrets about their ancestry.

Completing the lineup are Gavin & Stacey's Larry Lamb, Silent Witness star Emilia Fox and London 2012 chairman Seb Coe.

The celebrities' family stories will include a bloody American massacre, cases of illegitimacy, slavery and baby borrowing, and a mystery behind a mother's adoption.

The eighth run of Who Do You Think You Are?, which is produced by Wall to Wall, will air later this year on BBC One.
