Vanessa Feltz is being eyed for a potential return to ITV with a new daytime talkshow.

According to Broadcast, the host will film a 60-minute pilot edition for a new afternoon talker within the next week with a view to landing a full series later this year.

Feltz was a huge success for ITV in the early '90s with Vanessa, a talkshow that ran in the 9.25am slot for six years. Her subsequent move to the BBC fared less well, however, and she soon dropped off the radar before resurfacing on reality shows such as Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Fit Club.

"The time is right for Vanessa again," a source told the magazine. "She has got that ability to work a crowd and there are not many people that can do those shows well."
