Dynamo: Magician Impossible, featuring the Bradford-born illusionist performing some incredible tricks, was seen by 807k (3.5%) on Watch in the 9pm hour, up by 184k on the series debut two weeks ago.
Also in the 9pm hour, Torchwood: Miracle Day continued with 4.44m (19.3%) on BBC One, down by almost 400k week-on-week. However, the Doctor Who spinoff was too strong for crime drama Single Handed, which entertained 3.07m (13.4%) on ITV1 and 137k (0.8%) on +1. The Killing USA enthralled 1.27m (5.5%) on Channel 4 from 9pm, and a further 245k (1.4%) on timeshift.
Traffic Cops had 4.09m (18%) on BBC One from 8.30pm and The Big Gypsy Eviction pulled in 3.06m (22.4%) from 10.45pm, while When Piers Morgan Met Lord Sugar was seen by 1.08m (8.9%) on ITV1.
On BBC Two, The Animal Magic Zoo mustered 1.05m (5.5%) from 7pm and RHS Flower Show Tatton Park 2011 had 1.8m (8.6%) from 7.30pm, along with 101k (0.5%) on BBC HD. Rick Stein's Spain served up 2.11m (9.2%) in the 8pm hour and 188k (0.8%) in HD. History Cold Case fetched 1.76m (7.7%) in the 9pm hour and Have I Got Old News For You amused 1.48m (7.6%) from 10pm.
Channel 4's Help! My House Is Falling Down built 1.45m (6.4%) in the 8pm hour and 247k (1.1%) on +1. New comedy Coppers amused 1m (5.7%) from 10pm and 133k (1.3%) on timeshift.
Highlights coverage of England's opening Test with India scored with 701k (3.5%) on Channel 5 in the 7pm hour. Eddie Stobart: Trucks and Trailers drove away with 570k (2.5%) in the 8pm hour and Cowboy Builders attracted 1.92m (8.4%) from 9pm. Fly-on-the-wall series Candy Bar Girls appealed to 544k (3.1%) from 10pm.
Overall, BBC One won primetime with 21.2% against ITV1's 19.3% (+1: 0.6%). BBC Two ranked in third with 7.8%, ahead of Channel 4's 5.3% (+1: 0.8%) and Channel 5's 4.4%.
Elsewhere, Peter Andre Here 2 Help averaged 676k (3%) for ITV2 in the 9pm hour and 137k (0.8%) on +1. Alex: A Life In Fast Forward captivated 737k (3.2%) on BBC Three from 9pm.
